- When using an expired commuter pass or student discount card
- When you change any information entered (such as the date)
- When purchased and used outside the station closest to your home or university

Commuting pass
When purchasing a student commuter pass, you must fill in the commuting area (by route) on the back of your student ID card, get an approval stamp from Academic Affairs Division, and then use it as a student commuter pass. Please present your student ID card at the ticket window of each transportation company to purchase the pass. (Some transportation companies may require a separate student commuter pass. Check with each transportation company and, if necessary, get an approval stamp from Academic Affairs Division.) If you ride a train illegally by submitting an incorrect application, you will be charged an excessive fare by the transportation company. In addition, there is a risk that all students at this university will not be able to purchase student commuter passes. If you have any questions about the areas that can be purchased, be sure to check with the commuter pass sales window of the transportation company in question.
School area
Proof of commuting distance is limited to the shortest distance from the nearest station to your current address (the address listed on your student ID card) to the nearest station to your university.
*If you have any questions about the sections for which tickets can be purchased, please be sure to check with the commuter pass sales office of the relevant transport company.
Please note that commuting routes cannot be approved for purposes other than commuting to school (part-time work, etc.). If you change your commuting route or there is no more space to write on your student commuter pass receipt, please get an additional sticker on the back and an approval stamp from Academic Affairs Division.
Change of commuting area
If there is a change in your commuting area or route due to a change of address, etc., please notify Academic Affairs Division and receive an approval stamp.
*If you have any questions about the sections for which tickets can be purchased, please be sure to check with the commuter pass sales office of the relevant transport company.
